Neuroaffirming psychology and NDIS support in Hornsby

About The Strengths Centre

Strengths-based, person-centred care for children, young people, adults, and families across the lifespan.
Who we are

Neuroaffirming psychological and NDIS support, grounded in respect and real life

The Strengths Centre is a psychology and NDIS-registered clinic providing neuroaffirming, strengths-based support for children, young people, adults, and families across the lifespan. We work alongside individuals with diverse neurotypes and life experiences, offering care that is respectful, practical, and informed by evidence and lived experience.
Our work is grounded in the belief that people thrive when they are understood, supported, and valued for who they are. We focus on strengths, autonomy, and meaningful goals, while recognising the real-world environments people live, learn, work, and connect in.
Our approach

Care that centres strengths, context, and collaboration

We take a person-centred and collaborative approach to psychological and disability support care. This means listening closely, working at each person’s pace, and shaping support around individual strengths, needs, and priorities.
Our clinicians work with individuals, families, carers, schools, and support networks to ensure support is consistent and genuinely helpful across everyday settings. We aim to provide care that enhances daily life rather than adding complexity or disruption.
Our practice is neuroaffirming and non-pathologising. We seek to understand behaviour, emotions, and experiences in context, rather than viewing difference as deficit.
We offer

Integrated psychological and NDIS services

As a registered NDIS provider, The Strengths Centre offers a range of psychological and NDIS supports, including therapeutic supports, behaviour support, early childhood supports, and assessments. We also provide psychological support for children, young people, and adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns, and perinatal mental health support for neurodivergent women.
We support

Individuals and families across the lifespan

We support neurodivergent individuals and families, including people who are autistic, have ADHD, intellectual disability, or other neurodevelopmental differences. We also work with children and young people experiencing emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges, and with neurodivergent women during pregnancy and early parenting.
Clinical governance

Safe, ethical, and high-quality care

The Strengths Centre operates within robust clinical governance frameworks to support safe, ethical, and consistent service delivery. Clinical oversight, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development are central to how we work, supporting quality care across all services and life stages.
