About Kelse

Kelse is a registered psychologist, early career lecturer in psychology, and Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). She brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to her work and values the role of trust, safety, and appropriate humour in building strong therapeutic relationships.
With over 10 years of experience supporting children and young people, Kelse has worked extensively with individuals impacted by mental health concerns, disability, and behavioural challenges. She has provided support across a range of settings and understands the importance of tailoring care to each person’s developmental stage, environment, and individual needs.
Kelse’s work is informed by both clinical practice and academic teaching, allowing her to integrate evidence-based knowledge with practical, real-world application.
Kelse’s clinical experience includes assessment, intervention, counselling, case management, behaviour support, and the delivery of mental health workshops for young people. She has worked across government and non-government organisations, including the Department of Communities and Justice (Juvenile Justice), secondary school settings, headspace Early Psychosis, private practice, and NDIS disability services.
She is passionate about working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to support meaningful and achievable goals. Kelse is skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and has experience providing positive behaviour support strategies within a strengths-based framework.
